Electrix first took to the decks at the tender age of 16 and after playing numerous house parties, he landed his first residency in his hometown Cambridge. That first night, Double Dragon was a platform to further gigs in Cambridge before he moved to Manchester in 2003.
After a quiet period spent adjusting to life up North, Electrix started promoting and playing at nights such as Lost Sounds (Sub Space / Contact / Refuel) and Housin Benefits (The Park), which featured guest DJs such as Mark Turner (Eastern Bloc), Simon DK and Digs & Woosh (DiY). He has also played regularly around the city at venues such as The Music Box, Revolution, Fat Cat Cafe Bar and Glass. He also previously presented The Lost Sound Show on Unity Radio (www.unityradio.co.uk).
Over the last few years Electrix is proud to have played alongside the likes of Yousef, Paul Woolford, Yoda, Spettro, SLAM and Charles Webster.
Listing his musical influences as Daft Punk, Masters At Work and Todd Edwards; Electrix likes to play deep, soulful house music with a bit of a bump, but has an extensive record collection spanning many genres.
A man of modest ambition, when asked what he would ultimately like to achieve as a DJ, he replied simply, "To play cool music to cool people".
