Here's a little rundown on some of our more recent events. We have featured many quality DJ's and producers at our various nights including; FRAIDSO, CHRIS E, STEPH HOLLAND, RICHIE ROBINSON, STYLUS, DIY SOUNDSYSTEM (Digs & Woosh + Simon DK), MARK TURNER and ELECTROSLUTS.

Streetsounds featuring RICHIE ROBINSON (Blue City)

Richie Robinson, aka Rhythm Kings and also the man at the helm of Blue City Records, has been dj-ing and producing music for the past 8 years.
Richie's passion for music was started at an early age, with his love for Hip Hop and RnB but in the last year of high school he was inspired by his older brother to pick up his first pair of turntables and was given his first introduction to house music.
In 1999 Richie became a clubber at the legendary Cream in Liverpool UK. Sporting his fake NUS I.D and Cream branded tattoo, he made his ploy weekly to get past the bouncers and was mesmerized by what was going on inside!

The inspiration gained from those years of clubbing lead Richie to promote his own night, "embrace", with the early days of his DJ-ing aimed at the harder edge of house. Richie also made numerous guest appearances at clubs that catered for this sound back in 2001, including taking the opportunity to DJ in Japan at the Amori Pier Festival.

Richie's first break in the world of production came in 2005, when his solo single What D'Yall Know was signed to UK label, Lost My Dog. This release was an instant success with the media and was reviewed a 5/5 Sureplayer by DJ Mag and 5/5 Recommended by iDJ. Currently older, wiser and with many more productions under his belt... Watch this space for more solo productions and collaborations alike!
