Steve E ('for Elvis')

Steve has been DJing for more than ten years, starting with Drum 'n' Bass and Progressive House he did the house party circuit around Surrey and Sussex for three years before picking up his first club gig in sunny Brighton. Steve's first paying crowd was just over two thousand strong at the infamous 'Event' club... 'Elvis' has been hooked ever since.

Being a founder member of Reject Industries and The Gratis Dj's Steve is one half of what defines their particular take on Deep and Tech House music. This involves a thumping syncopated beat, the fattest rolling basslines, classic jazz references in smooth rhodes harmonies, cheeky quitar riffs and the odd profound vocal to boot. Later in the programme things get rough and ready with 808's, stabbing synths and bizarre filter effects that form layers of body rocking Tech house thats simply irresistable dancing fodder.

Since 1999 Steve has been developing Reject Industries and Gratis in Manchester with nights like Housey Doings, Dir-T, Animal, Sol Tribal and Housing Benefits under his belt among others. With Rob White and JamesK Steve has also DJ'd at the infamous Thames Boat Parties and Rob's Thank Funk its Friday. Steve has also accompanied us to DJ in Spain and Portugal.

Now fully accredited after graduating from the Roland School of Sound in Manchester Steve is now set for his first releases as 'Random Act of Kindness'.
